You have done it all as a female entrepreneur, from sales growth to marketing and customer service. With all of your business achievements to date, you may have feelings of pride and gratitude as you should!

You deserve to feel good about all of your business accomplishments! But, do you ever stop amid the busyness and wonder if your life is all a balancing act? Do you ever worry about making a costly mistake or decision that could cause your business to lose stability and crash? Have you seen your quality of work decrease recently as your willpower and brainpower exhaust your energy?

If you can relate to any of the feelings and stressors I mentioned, I’m sorry to break it to you. You are completely burnt out! Don’t believe it? Most people don’t think they’re burnt out and, as a result, drive themselves into deeper levels of exhaustion as they try to work through it.

You can’t be a productive entrepreneur if you’re exhausted all of the time!

Sure, we all have an off day and feel overworked every so often, but here’s the issue: If you’re experiencing bad and overworked days every day, that is a red flag. This is a sign that you need to take time away from work to nourish your mind, body, and soul.

As an entrepreneur, you know how vital it is to put love and care into your business. However, there is NO business without you. So it’s time for you to provide yourself with the love and care that you deserve. Because let’s be honest here, if you don’t take care of yourself, you can’t take care of a successful business.

Let’s talk about how burnout affects you and your business and the steps you can take to overcome burnout!

How Burnout Affects You & Your Business

Burnout can impact you in so many ways — physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. When you experience burnout, you may feel fatigued, apathetic, back and neck pain, and panic attacks. But, regardless of how burnout affects an individual, we are all left with the same thought:

I feel completely miserable. This isn’t the life I want to live!

No one should feel like their energy is completely zapped before the day begins, especially entrepreneurs who want to grow their business and reach new leads. It may seem like it’s impossible to break through the barriers of burnout and achieve your business goals, but fortunately, you CAN and you WILL.

Our society praises hustle culture! With so many influencers pushing the ultimate productivity agenda, it’s no wonder why burnout is becoming more and more common— particularly for women. Of course, men have to balance unrealistic expectations in their careers and get pushed to burnout, too. But women have a lot to take on!

Many women have to face high professional standards and the pressures of being a “model” female. For instance, an active parent, loving wife, attentive daughter…the list goes on. Unfortunately, when we get too caught up in these expectations, it’s easy to put ourselves on the back burner and lose sight of taking care of ourselves.

For female entrepreneurs, it’s overwhelming to juggle everything from growing a business and taking care of a family to maintaining a home and connecting with friends and family. Among all the busyness, how can you make time for yourself? Most entrepreneurs simply don’t.

Here’s a little secret for you: You don’t need to work yourself into the ground to have a successful business. It’s a myth that endorses overworking, competitiveness, exhaustion, anxiety, and burnout.

Here are some truth bombs:

  • You can enjoy your business and entrepreneurial journey without feeling exhausted every single day.
  • You don’t have to work yourself to death to meet deadlines for others.
  • You don’t need to sacrifice your personal life or goals for your business.

As an entrepreneur, you know what it takes to make waves and adapt to a new lifestyle. So if you want your life to look and feel different, you have to be ready to live differently. It’s time to replace old habits and mindsets with new ones that will rejuvenate and re-energize you, your life, and your business.

Using BioEnergetics to Combat Burnout

Bioenergetics is the study of your energy system and how it affects your biology. It assists you in understanding where you face barriers energetically, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. The foundation of Bioenergetics is to achieve your potential by engaging with your body and soul’s energetic needs. When you gain alignment with your energy centers, you will obtain the abundance you need to blossom in your life and business.

A bioenergetic scan will provide you with answers about any areas of misalignment you may be experiencing from your body and mind to your spirit. For instance, one scan may tell you that you need to spend more time with your family or you need to stay hydrated.

One of the best features of bioenergetics is that it can alert you when something in your energy is off before you reach the point of burnout. And if you’re already feeling burnt out, bioenergetics can guide you to realignment.

The process of healing from burnout begins with identifying problem areas. Since being an entrepreneur requires wearing multiple hats, it’s essential to establish balance. So, I want you to write the following sentence down and repeat it to yourself out loud.

When you take care of yourself, you are taking care of your business!

Let’s dive into some techniques to help you find clarity and peace in your life and business.

Physical Alignment Exercises

Are you dragging your feet during your workday? If so, that’s your body’s way of saying that it needs some love. One excellent way to nourish your body is by exercising. When you exercise, you are getting your juices flowing and producing tons of endorphins in your brain.

Don’t worry about doing an intense workout here! It’s all about moving your body. You can opt for a nice walk around the neighborhood or a 10-minute yoga session. Getting your body in action is a great way to improve your mood.

Another way you can serve your body is by staying hydrated. Drinking water is essential to maintaining your physical health, so don’t skimp out on it. Also, consider switching up your foods to herbs, whole grains, and fresh produce to give your body the nutrition it deserves.

Finally, I recommend that you practice grounding yourself. Find time to go outside barefoot and stand in the grass. Think of it as a way to connect with the earth and get recharged with Mother Earth’s energy. You can ground yourself at a park, a trail, or your backyard!

Mental Alignment Exercises

Burnout can take a significant toll on your mental health, so let’s get you in the right headspace! I’m a firm believer in creating goals that guide you in life. If you haven’t established goals, you may feel like you lack direction in your life. We’re going to change that right now.

Grab a paper and a pen and begin visualizing what your ideal life looks like, including your business and personal life. How do you see your business growing? What does a day in your life look like? And most importantly, how will you feel?

Now we’re going to shift the visualization and write your ideal scene in the present tense. We’re going to treat your dream as if you’re living it now. Journaling and visualization are powerful tools to manifest the life that you want to live! Putting on paper makes your ideas even more concrete.

Spiritual Alignment Exercises

If you want to break out of your burnout, you have to align more than your body and mind. You have to realign your spirit! When you get your spirit back into balance, you can transform your actions and knowledge into the beliefs from your core. Targeting your inner beliefs is a powerful way to elevate yourself as an entrepreneur.

Start with addressing some of the following questions:

  • Do you feel like you’re worthy of a thriving business?
  • Do you believe that you’re a badass entrepreneur, partner, parent, and friend?
  • What do you value the most about yourself?
  • What is holding you back from achieving your goals?

Take time to reflect on these questions or any additional questions that come to mind. It’s okay to ask yourself challenging questions and sit with them as you make your way through your answers.

Another beneficial exercise is practicing self-affirmations. We all know how nice it feels to hear compliments and validation from others. How about we treat ourselves and share some self-affirmations?

Here are some affirmations you can include:

  • I am balanced, joyful, and creative.
  • I accept all parts of myself.
  • I love this!
  • I am an idea alchemist.
  • I am safe and supported.
  • My feelings are valid.

You can pick your favorite affirmations or create personal versions that you can repeat to yourself throughout the day. You have the strength and power to renew your energy!

These are some of the many ways to gain realignment in your energy centers, life, and business. If you feel overwhelmed trying to combat burnout, realize that you do NOT have to work through it alone.
